As the famous groundhog some 465 mile to the north woke to see his shadow this morning, indicating 6 more weeks of winter, a heavy snow symbolically fell on our little village. Many of those snowflakes fell upon the stone-clad pedestals that have been meticulously crafted in preparation for some special bronze plaques.
Some 21 pillars, some with accompanying benches, to take in the sights and sounds of Blowing Rock are being created. These stations will guide visitors from Main Street at Mayview Plaza, down Laurel Lane, around Mayview Lake in Broyhill Park and back up Laurel Lane to Main Street.
